I rescued Penny July 28th. She came to one of an our spay campaigns, she was left behind by her “family” she was infested with ticks literally hundreds! I try to removed them so she could get spay, but it was impossible, there were hundreds & she was bleeding a lot. The lady told me she only wanted to spay her so she couldn’t have puppies she was a stray puppy. I felt horrible & despite that we can’t take one more dog I decided to help Penny. She got a pill to kill all the ticks, she received antibiotics to start the treatment right away for tick disease. She has been with a loving foster family. Penny is finally spayed, vaccinated, etc. her blood work come back very good. She’s super sweet loving and overall a chill dog. She’s around 7/8 months old 26 pounds.
