We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing dogs off of the streets of Baja California.
We support spaying and neutering pets and organize free or low-cost spay and neuter campaigns in different cities in Baja California.
Mission: The DeTommaso Dogs Rescue aims to save as many animals in need as we can. We rescue animals from the streets of Baja California; we provide medical care, feed, shelter, and rehome the dogs we find.
We have a special interest in preventing the problem of overpopulation, and homelessness in the animal community which is why we provide free spay & neuter surgeries to communities in Baja, CA where the need is immense.
Vision: One day, we will help create a world where there are no more unwanted dogs and cats that have to suffer on the streets.
We would not be able to do any of this without the kind hearts of our fosters, volunteers, and donations.
We are a small rescue, and we do not have a shelter/facility for our pets just yet (hopefully someday!) All of our dogs we rescue are in foster homes or board and care facilities that we pay for until a foster pawrent is available to take in our pet. Fostering costs nothing for our fosters. We provide and pay for all necessities. Fosters only provide a loving home until their dog finds their forever home & gets adopted. We would not be able to save so many animals without the assistance of our amazing foster pawrents.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The DeTommaso Dogs receive no government funding and relies on the grants, fundraising events, and your kind donations to stay operational and be able to offer free spay & neutering to qualifying families in Baja CA. We want to be part of the solution as we help these rescue pups find their forever home. With your support, we are able to keep on helping animals in need.
Please consider donating to save dogs and cats in dire need.
Finding the pawfect home and family takes a lot of effort, but we try our best to find the best fit for our pups.
Sometimes we have to move dogs to different foster homes within our rescue to provide an optimal environment for all.
All of our rescued animals up-to-date on their vaccinations.
One of the first things we do when we rescue a pup is take them to our trusted vet to examine them, and ensure their health is thoroughly assessed and treated.
Every contribution you make enables our rescue to provide care, shelter, and love to dogs in need. Your generosity plays a vital role in helping us rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes for these loyal companions. With your support, we can continue our mission of saving and improving the lives of these precious animals. Thank you for making a difference and being a part of our compassionate community. Together, we can make the world a better place for our furry friends.
